General Workshop Information
Emma, Ruth and Sarah are qualified and knowledgable teachers, who, between them, have decades of experience creating their own work and teaching creative subjects. Tuition is friendly, informal and supportive, and class sizes are small with only 4-6 students per session.
Tea, coffee and cake are provided as part of your workshop fee.
Lunch; Please bring your own lunch, or there are places to buy lunch nearby such as The Canteen at Hotwalls, as well as a range of local pubs and cafes.
Parking; Parking is a mixture of up to one hour free parking opposite the studios, and paid parking which is priced from £1.60 an hour, 4 hours for £4.50, 5 hours for £8 or all day for £12 (Prices correct at time of going to press).
Train; the nearest train station is at Portsmouth Harbour, which is approximately a 20-minute walk away from the Hotwalls Studios.
Toilets; newly refurbished public toilets are located within the Hotwalls site, including an accessible toilet, though there are no toilets located within the studio. These are approximately 100 metres away.
Studios and toilets are all wheelchair accessible.

Workshops are limited to six places for each and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Participants must be over 16 years of age.

Cancellations and Refunds; full payment is required to secure a booking on our workshops. If you can no longer attend and need to cancel your booking we will be able to refund you if you can give us at least 7 days notice. A £10 administration fee will be retained and the remainder will be refunded. As we often have waiting lists for workshops, if this notice is less than 7 days then we may be able to give you a partial refund if we can re-sell the space. No refunds can be made to those who cancel within 7 days of the workshop if we cannot re-sell the space.
If you would like a particular workshop which is not offered on our current schedule, please contact us and let us know! We are always open to suggestions, and if we have time in our schedule we may be able to accommodate a block booking of 4-6 people for custom workshops.
Please note that all workshops take place in The Makers Table studio located at the Hotwalls Studios, which is open to the public, so we may have a few curious passers-by popping their heads in to buy work or see what we are doing!
